My final painting work of 2023, and filmed at sunrise on the beach. The name comes from a song by Neutral Milk Hotel, and speaks of how a brief moment of contentment can sometimes outshine a crippling tragedy in one's life. Painting this piece at sunrise in my favourite location was somewhat of a healing experience for me, reflecting on the past year but also being grateful for everything that's happened and the lessons that I've learned along the way. An acceptance, and commitment to all that will happen from that point.
